Skoda Octavia 2021 All Set To Launch In India

The fourth-gen Skoda Octavia is all set to launch in India in April 2021. The brand director of Skoda Auto India, had confirmed about there plan to launch the new Octavia by end of this month and deliveries by end of may accordingly. Globally unveiled in the end of 2019. It is based on a reworked version of Volkswagen’s MQB platform. Thus making it 15mm wider and 19mm longer than its forerunner. Skoda has already began its production in their facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

What’s New with Skoda Octavia ?

The fourth-gen Skoda Octavia is all set to launch in India in April 2021.

The new Octavia comes with the all new cabin layout, it gets a 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech and also features wireless smartphone charging. The company seem to hold on to their international kit for Indian-spec as well. Furthermore, the India-spec Octavia features new two-spoke steering wheel, with knurled scroll wheels.

Powered By 2.0-litre TSI engine, the new Octavia will produce 190 HP. It offer a 7-speed dual-clutch Automatic gearbox. The company will miss out on a diesel engine, so as to focus on the petrol variant with the transition to BS6 norms. We expect it to be priced for around Rs. 18 lakh to 23 lakh accordingly.

Skoda has already began its production in their facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

With the new strategy Skoda India further tries to get an edge over its competitors. Before it was scheduled to debut in India by end of 2020 but consequently delayed by the pandemic. The new Skoda Octavia will rival with only the Hyundai Elantra. Skoda has recently revealed its kushaq which will launch in June; Besides their flagship SUV Kodiaq will also launch this year.
