Suzuki has launched the Avenis in India at Rs 86,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It’s a direct rival to the TVS NTorq 125 and the Yamaha RayZR 125. (Ultram HCL)
Avenis Price:
Suzuki offers the Avenis in four colours — Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey, Pearl Blaze Orange, Metallic Matte Black, Pearl Mirage White. All four paint schemes are priced at Rs 86,700. Meanwhile, the Race Edition (painted in Metallic Triton Blue) is priced at Rs 87,000 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
Avenis Features:
The Suzuki Avenis is loaded with features like an LED headlight and taillight, USB charging port and a full digital LCD cluster. It packs various readouts like the speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel level readout and also offers Bluetooth compatibility. (Zolpidem) This gives you access to call/SMS alerts, a battery indicator and overspeed alerts. For added convenience, the Suzuki Avenis also features an external fuel-filler cap and gets two utility hooks as well.
Avenis Engine:
Suzuki has powered the Avenis by a 124cc air-cooled motor that dishes out 8.7PS and 10Nm. It’s the same motor as the one used for Burgman Street and the Access 125.
Avenis Suspension and brakes:
The Suzuki Avenis is sprung by a conventional telescopic fork and a single rear shock. It gets a front disc and rear drum brake setup and rolls on a 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear wheel.
Avenis Rivals:
The Suzuki Avenis’ direct rivals are the TVS NTorq 125, Yamaha RayZR 125, Honda Grazia 125 and the Aprilia SR 125. However, for a similar asking price, you could also opt for the TVS Raider, Honda Shine and Bajaj Pulsar 125.
