Dark Edition
Tata might have just announced the prices of the Harrier EV, but a Dark Edition is already in the works, and is expected to be launched later this year as a planned update for the electric SUV. The Dark update will be offered across both battery packs and both AWD and RWD configurations across the Fearless+, Fearless+ A, and Empowered variants.
What to Expect
Going by the previous Dark Editions, it will get a full black exterior paint scheme with full black wheels and a specialised badging at the rear. The interior too, will be a full black affair, as compared to the beige and black of the current car. The feature is expected to remain unchanged from the equivalent Fearless+, Fearless+ A, and Empowered variants. The fully loaded Empowered 75 variant gets AWD, dual-zone climate control, JBL sound system, powered front seats with boss function, 360-degree camera with transparent bonnet, Level 2 ADAS,connected car technology, auto park function, and a full LED light package.
Mechanically, the Harrier EV will be offered with 65kWh, 75kWh, and 75kWh AWD dual motor battery outputs. They offer a range of 538km, 627km, and 622km, respectively. In terms of claimed real-world range, Tata has claimed the C75 real-world range of 420km to 445km for the 65kWh variant, while the 75kWh battery pack claims a range of 480km to 505km. The 75kWh battery pack with QWD has a claimed range of 460km to 490km. In RWD guise, the motor produces 235bhp and 315Nm, while the AWD versions produce 235bhp+156bhp and 504Nm.
Possible Pricing
We expect a price hike in the range of Rs. 30,000 to Rs 40,000 over the equivalent standard Harrier EV model.
