As of currently, there is no official indication on whether or not a replacement colour choice for Nexon EV will be introduced. Users will be able to pick from three colour options: Glacier White, Signature Teal Blue, and Dark Edition (Midnight Blue). Standard ICE-powered Nexon, on the other hand, comes in a wider selection of colour possibilities.

There are no additional modifications to Nexon EV other than the removal of the silver colour. A permanent magnet synchronous motor attached to a 30.2 kWh high energy density lithium-ion battery pack continues to power it. The electric motor has a maximum power of 129 ps and a peak torque of 245 Nm. A liquid-cooled thermal management system is used in the IP67-rated powertrain.
The Nexon EV accelerates from 0 to 60 kilometres per hour in 4.6 seconds. It takes 9.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour. It is capable of tackling hills with a gradeability of up to 34%. The certified range is 312 kilometres, although it may vary depending on many factors. Climate, temperature, use of air conditioning, traffic circumstances, driving competence, and other factors, for example, might affect range.

Nexon EV is fitted with regenerative braking to extend range whenever practical. The electric traction motor in this system transfers kinetic energy into electric power. This is where the battery gets recharged. When the automobile is descending a slope, this is extremely useful. Although specific figures are unavailable, regenerative braking may significantly increase range in the correct circumstances.
When it comes to charging time, the Nexon EV can go from zero to eighty percent with the help of a fast charger. 10 percent to 90% charging may be accomplished in 8.5 hours using a standard 15 Amp charging port. Tata Motors has built a wide network of charging stations around the country to alleviate range anxiety. In addition, in five locations, emergency charging assistance is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The battery and motor on the Nexon EV are covered by an 8-year/1.6-lakh-kilometer guarantee, ensuring long-term use. The vehicle comes with a number of linked capabilities that can be accessed through the Tata Motors ZConnect app. Intrusion detection, geofencing, remote immobilisation, panic alerting, remote commands, vehicle health monitoring, trip analytics, and driver behaviour are some of the primary networking features.

Longer-range Nexon EV under development
Tata Motors is developing a longer-range Nexon EV to improve the entire experience for Nexon EV consumers. The improved Nexon EV is planned to be released in the middle of 2022. Longer-range Nexon EVs will be more successful in fending off competition from MG Motor, Hyundai, and others.
A bigger battery pack, maybe a 40kWh one, will be one of the major improvements. It is projected to extend the range to over 400 kilometres. Users should expect a genuine range of 300-320 kilometres. As a result, the EV will be suited for intercity and interstate travel. Selectable regenerative braking and an electronic stability programme are also envisaged for the Nexon EV’s greater range (ESP).
