Tata Nexon gets Ventilated Seats, Air Purifier with New Variants

Prices for the new Nexon XZ+(HS) variants start at Rs 10.87 lakh; Nexon XZ+(P) priced from Rs 11.59 lakh. New variants available with petrol and diesel engine and with Dark edition package.

Tata has unveiled four new Nexon models, with pricing starting at Rs 10.87 lakh (ex-showroom). The XZ+(HS), XZA+(HS), XZ+(P) and XZA+(P) will come with unique amenities not seen on the regular Nexon, including an air purifier, ventilated seats, and auto dimming mirrors. This confirms our prior claim that the Kaziranga editions might bring additional features to the tiny SUV.

The Nexon has reached a production milestone of three lakh units with the latest models. In June 2021, the small SUV surpassed the two-million-unit mark.

Tata Nexon XZ+ (HS), XZA+ (HS): What do you get?

The inclusion of an air purifier to the equipment list of the new XZ+ (HS) and XZA+ (HS) is the most talked-about feature. The petrol manual model costs Rs 10.87 lakh, while the petrol-AMT variant costs Rs 11.52 lakh.

The new XZ+(HS) model comes with a choice of petrol or diesel engines, as well as the Dark Edition package. The diesel and Dark Edition variations’ costs have yet to be revealed by the automaker.

Tata Nexon XZ+ (P), XZA+ (P): What do you get?

The Nexon XZ+ (P) is essentially the regular form of the new Kaziranga editions, with prices starting at Rs 11.59 lakh for the petrol-manual model and Rs 12.24 lakh for the petrol-AMT model. The XZ+ (P) and XZA+ (P) include ventilated front seats, Benecke Kaliko leatherette upholstery, an air purifier, and an auto dimming interior rear view mirror, just as the latter. The new versions are around Rs 20,000 less expensive than the Kaziranga editions.

These two variations, like the new XZ+(HS) variants, are available with either the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol or 1.5-litre diesel engines, as well as the Dark Edition package.

Tata Nexon: What else is new?

Aside from the new versions, the Nexon also comes in a new Royale Blue Paint hue. The remainder of the variation lineup is unaffected.

The Nexon now has 40 options, including engine gearbox combinations and Dark and Kaziranga editions, thanks to the additional trim levels. The Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, and Mahindra XUV300 are among competitors for the small SUV.
