The MG Windsor EV, the automaker’s third all-electric vehicle, debuted in India lately and retails for an alluring Rs 9.99 lakh (introductory ex-showroom countrywide). The catch is that you have to pay MG an extra Rs 3.5 for each kilometre you drive in order to rent a battery from them. However, its starting pricing is the same as the Tata Punch EV’s. The Windsor EV is a more substantial option than the Punch EV, as the table above illustrates. Its length of 4,295 mm allows for a wheelbase that is 255 mm longer, which is expected to improve internal space. It should be noted that the Windsor EV’s top-spec Essence model has 579 liters of boot space, while the Excite and Exclusive versions have 604 liters—up to 238 liters more than the Punch EV.

Tata has two different battery pack options for the Punch EV: a 25 kWh and a 35 kWh pack. Each has a single electric motor, and depending on the battery pack selected, the output varies. The larger unit has a claimed range of 365 km, while the smaller pack gives a claimed range of 265 km from MIDC.
On the other hand, the Windsor EV boasts a stated range of 331 km and is equipped with a single 38 kWh battery pack in conjunction with a more potent 136 PS and 200 Nm electric motor.
