Tata Motors, India’s largest domestic automaker, has introduced the Kaziranga edition Punch SUV in the country as a tribute to the country’s rich natural history. With a starting price of Rs 8.59 lakh, the normal Punch’s top-spec model has been presented in a new wildlife-inspired guise (ex-showroom).

The company has added a black Rhino mascot to the front fenders as well as the upholstery to give the SUV a truly wild aspect. The Punch Kaziranga comes in a one-of-a-kind Grassland Beige colour inspired by Kaziranga’s lush grasslands. Its animal image is enhanced with jet black diamond-cut alloy wheels and a satin black Rhino mascot.
Inside, the Kaziranga Punch SUV features a dual-tone earthy beige and granite black cabin with luxury Benecke Kaliko leather dual-tone seats, mascot embossing on the headrest, and an earthy beige tri-arrow design dashboard.

The mechanical and other aspects of the Punch are the same as the normal model. A 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine produces 85bhp at 6,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 3,300rpm, powering the mini SUV. This engine is available with a five-speed manual or an automatic transmission.
