Tata Safari Dark Edition to be launched on 17 January

Tata Motors first introduced the Tata Safari in India in February 2021, and it has only been updated twice since then, with the Safari Adventure Persona edition and the Safari Gold Edition. The company will now add the Safari Dark Edition to its Dark Edition lineup, which will make its debut in India on January 17, 2022. The business released a teaser film, which included a look of the Tata Safari Dark Edition’s front part, ahead of its upcoming launch.

Tata Safari Dark Edition : What’s New ?

The Tata Safari Dark Edition will include a blacked-out front grille with a tri-arrow design and black casing for the bumper-mounted headlamps, as well as black accents on the ORVMs, alloy wheels, and black writing on the boot lid, similar to other Dark Editions. On the front fenders, the #Dark badge will be placed. The Safari Dark Edition will have an entirely blacked-out interior with black leather instead of the regular two-tone dashboard.

Engine And Gearbox

The Tata Safari Dark will be driven by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 168 horsepower and 350 Nm of peak torque, as well as a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission. The Tata Altroz Dark Edition, Nexon Dark Edition, Nexon EV Dark Edition, and Harrier Dark Edition are all part of Tata’s Dark Edition. The Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus, and the impending Kia Carens MPV are also competitors for the Tata Safari. The Dark edition versions are expected to cost roughly Rs 30,000 more than the trim they are based on in terms of pricing (a similar mark-up to what we see on the Harrier Dark).
