The Koenigsegg Jesko Interrupts An Easter Egg Hunt With Snowy Hot Laps

Agera RS replacement looks and sounds sensational as it powerslides on snow.

Koenigsegg’s marketing crew, like its hypercars, is on another level. A fantastic car like the Jesko needs an action-packed commercial, and “Egghunt” does not disappoint. The forthcoming 1,600-horsepower motorcycle was used in an egg hunt on the cold roads of northern Sweden, where the Agera RS successor is being tested, just before Catholic Easter.

Arjeplog, with its vast frozen lakes, was the Jesko’s playground, allowing Koenigsegg’s new speed machine to put its rear-wheel steering to the test. We also get to hear the flat-plane V8 engine’s fantastic song, which is a twin-turbo 5.0-liter unit that revs up to 8,500 rpm. The nine-speed Light Speed Transmission, which promises to deliver performance comparable to the DSG introduced in 2003 on the VW Golf R32, is responsible for those gear changes you’re hearing.

The new Jesko will go down in history as the fastest car Koenigsegg has ever made, despite the fact that the test in cold Sweden wasn’t about pure peak speed. The business is certain that it will surpass the 300-mph barrier, with computer models indicating that it could even reach 330 mph. Until then, the exotic automaker’s speed machine is known as “The Real King of Ice.”

The Jesko, which was first unveiled over three years ago, is still as captivating as it was at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Only 125 will be created, and they’ve all been snapped up. When the concept was unveiled in Geneva, only 42 cars were available, and they were all sold out in less than five days.

The Jesko, which is named after Christian von Koenigsegg’s father, isn’t the only model the Swedes are working on. The Gemera is notable for another reason: it intends to be the world’s first supercar with full-size back seats, despite being slower.

Finally, none other than the official Rimac account has the most popular remark on YouTube for this video: “We must have overlooked the invitation. It could have been twice as entertaining.”
