It will be displayed at the ME Dubai hotel until March 31, 2021.
McLaren Automotive has collaborated with Nat Bowen, an artist, to create the most vivid Artura yet. The McLaren Artura art car is the first hybrid supercar of its kind. It delves into the usage of chromology, which reflects the psychology of colour, as well as “Art” and “Future” topics. The latter is the source of Artura’s name, which makes this work particularly appropriate.
Nat Bowen is a British abstract artist whose work is recognised for its vibrancy and colour. The Artura art car is part of her first solo exhibition in Dubai, which runs until March 31, 2022 at the ME Dubai hotel.
The McLaren Artura art car’s exterior is covered with light-adapting translucent resin colours. The vehicle’s design reflects and absorbs its environment, allowing it to blend in with its surroundings.
“We are ecstatic to have teamed with Nat Bowen to exhibit the all-new McLaren Artura in the renowned surroundings of the ME Dubai, which features her trademark multi-layered artwork. The show garnered a rapturous response from the audience, allowing us to successfully engage with Dubai’s and the rest of the Middle East region’s fervent art communities “Mohamed Fawzi, McLaren Automotive’s Market Director for the Middle East and Africa, stated.
The Artura is McLaren’s first high-performance hybrid in series production. It’s also the first McLaren using McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). The McLaren Composites Technology Centre in Sheffield, England, is where the MCLA is created, developed, and built. It is the driving force behind McLaren’s electrified future, which has been delayed due to global semiconductor production challenges.
The Artura is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with a “E-Motor” located inside the transmission bell housing. The combined output is 671 horsepower (500 kilowatts) and torque of 593 pound-feet (804 Newton-meters).
