Top 12 New Car Launches By September 2022

The next 3 months will be quite exciting for automotive enthusiasts, as a slew of new cars, SUVs, and electric vehicles are set to hit the streets. We’ve compiled a list of the top 12 new models that will hit the market before Diwali this year (i.e. September 2022).

Kia India has confirmed that prices for its first electric vehicle will be announced on June 2nd. The Kia EV3 is an electric crossover that will be available in only 12 cities. On a single charge, it’s said to have a range of 548 kilometres. On June 9th, 2022, Volkswagen will introduce the Vitrus mid-size car. The vehicle will be built on the MQB-A-IN platform and will be available with 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI petrol engines, as part of the brand’s India 2.0 strategy. The new Hyundai Venue facelift is expected to debut in mid-June, with the second-generation Maruti Brezza following close behind.

The Citroen C3 will be the French automaker’s second offering in India. It’s a hatchback with an SUV-like stance, and it’ll compete with the Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis. After the new-generation Brezza, the revised Toyota Urban Cruiser is expected to arrive. The majority of the upgrades will be comparable to those found on the new Brezza. According to rumours, the new-generation Maruti Alto would be unveiled in July or August by the Indo-Japanese company. Its production will most likely start next month (i.e. June 2022).

Before the 2022 Diwali season, the Tata Tigor EV with a larger battery pack is expected to join showrooms. The Maruti Baleno and Toyota Glanza will be available in CNG versions in the coming months. Their actual debut dates, however, have yet to be revealed. The Toyota Hyryder will compete against the Hyundai Creta in the mid-size SUV segment. The model, codenamed D22, is expected to debut in June, with a market launch following in the next 2-3 months.
