Top 3 Fastest Cars in The World

Automakers are aiming to achieve new technical improvements with hyper vehicles, resulting in new top speed records, with station waggons being loaded with 600 horsepower.

  • The fastest car on this list reaches 490 kms per hour
  • One of these cars is the fastest convertible on the planet
  • The Agera R was broke the record for its top speed on public roads.

Although horsepower is still the most often used statistic to evaluate automobiles in today’s world, it has lost its significance. Cars today have outrageously strong engines, with station waggons producing 600 horsepower and 7-seater SUVs producing 710 horsepower. To meet client demands, supercar manufacturers must push new boundaries; unfortunately, this means setting new top speed records. Today, we’ll look at three such vehicles that are now the world’s fastest in terms of top speed. Only automakers that have truly tested their cars’ highest speed statistics on the tarmac will be considered for this list, not those who have claimed top speeds, such as the SSC Tuatara.

3. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

Bugatti was famous for holding the world speed record for the longest time. With a lot of labour and expense, the Bugatti Veyron was born in 2005, keeping in mind that their parent corporations were capable of tremendous finance. This first version was equipped with a W16 engine with four turbochargers that produced 1001 horsepower and an all-wheel drive system. Bugatti, on the other hand, came back with the Veyron Super Sport after losing a top-speed fight to the SSC Ultimate Aero. The automobile had a peak speed of 431 km/h and was also available in a convertible version dubbed the Grand Sport Vitesse, which was the fastest open-top vehicle at 408 km/h.

2. Koenigsegg Agera RS

The Koenigsegg Agera RS was an automobile that took up the mantel of the fastest car in the world shortly after the Bugatti Veyron did. The Agera RS has an average top speed of 447 kms per hour. The car is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 which produces a whopping 1160 bhp and 1280 Nm of torque. These insane figures allowed the car to reach a 100 kms per hour from a standstill in just 2.9 seconds. They got this test run done by having an 11 mile stretch of road in Nevada closed with the help of the Department of Transportation. On that day the fastest run recorded was at 458 kms per hour.

1. Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+

This is the first manufacturer automobile to reach speeds of over 300 miles per hour. When the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport was introduced, it not only broke the record set by the Venom F5, but also set a new world record for highest speed of 490 km/h. Despite the fact that Bugatti has consistently produced the world’s fastest automobiles, the company now claims to be interested in other areas of driving enjoyment. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport currently has a W16 quad-turbo engine that produces 1479 horsepower and 1600 Nm of torque.
