1. 2016 Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy-R
This car made by Renault was power by a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, that produced over 271 horsepower. It is an upgraded version of the 26R, with a lap time of 7:54.4 mins on Nürburgring.
2. FK2 Honda Civic Type-R
This was the first Civic to have a turbocharger. It has a 2.0L engine that produced over 306 horsepower. It can do 0-60 in 5.7 secs with a top speed of 169 mph. All of it helped to do a lap time of 7:50.6 mins which is 4 secs faster than the Renault.

3. 2016 VW Golf GTI Clubsport S
Talking of front-wheel-drive cars, golf is one of the coolest looking hatchback front-wheel cars ever made. The car performs incredibly on the roads, it’s fast than many rear-wheel cars. This was a limited edition car with only 400 units ever made. It did a lap time of 7:49.2 mins which is 1 sec faster than the typer-R.
4. 2017 Honda Civic Type-R

This car has the same engine with a turbo as the 2016 model, but with 315 horsepowers which were just 9 hoses more. But the 2017 Type-R could do lap time of 7:43.8 on the Nürburgring.
5. 2019 Renault Megane Trophy R
This is the fastest car on the list, which made a record to be the fastest front-wheel-drive car on the Nürburgring. Renault didn’t stop after the 2016 model, but in June 2020 they made it to the world’s fastest front-wheel car ever. It made a record of doing the lap time of 7:40.1 mins, in spite of having a smaller engine than other cars.
