The upgraded model, which was unveiled in November 2020, is anticipated to arrive in India soon. The sedan has slight visual changes, as well as improved safety systems and new functions. The sedan features a black V-shaped grille, LED headlights with LED DRLs, a reworked front bumper, 18-inch alloy wheels, circular fog lamps, LED taillights, and more. On the inside, the facelifted Toyota Camry could see minimal changes. A free-standing 9-inch touchscreen entertainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is expected in the vehicle. The dashboard will also include a characteristic Y-shaped design with horizontal air-conditioning vents, larger cupholders on the centre console, a central armrest, and other features.

The 2022 Toyota Camry hybrid makeover will almost certainly be powered by the same 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid engine. The engine is linked with a self-charging hybrid electric motor that produces 215 horsepower in total. A 6-step CVT transmission is linked to the hybrid powerplant. The latter has been spotted testing here a couple of times, pointing towards a launch in the next couple of months.
