Car Sales Report February 2022 : Toyota

In February 2022, Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported that it had sold a total of 8745 vehicles. In the same month last year, the company sold a total of 14,075 units in the domestic market, resulting in a 37.8% decrease in sales. When we analyse the company’s performance month over month, we can see that revenues have increased by 19% since January 2022.

New Launches

The manufacturer recently debuted the Hilux pick-up truck for the Indian market, only to announce a few days later that bookings for the vehicle would have to be halted due to excessive demand. Although we have yet to learn the price of the Hilux, there is tremendous demand, which will help Toyota gain traction when markets open up. TKM gets its Urban Cruiser and Glanza models from MSIL, therefore any sales reduction this quarter reflects that. In the meantime, the company has the new Toyota Glanza on the market. With the presentation of the New Maruti Baleno last week, the launch is no longer a long way off.
