The long-awaited Toyota Hilux lifestyle pickup truck has finally arrived in India. The new model comes in three different versions: 44 MT Standard, 44 MT High, and 44 AT High. The Hilux base model starts at Rs 33.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 36.80 lakh for the top-end variant.

The Toyota Hilux lifestyle pick-up is aimed at buyers who want a vehicle that can be used for off-roading and adventure drives as well as everyday use. The new lifestyle pickup truck is produced in the company’s Karnataka plant, with 30% of localised components and 70% imported.
The 2017 Toyota Hilux is a premium alternative to the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, which ranges in price from Rs 18.05 lakh to Rs 25.06 lakh. The Fortuner is powered by a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine with four cylinders. This engine has a power output of 204bhp and a torque output of 420Nm. There will be two transmission options: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. This engine produces 500Nm of torque when coupled with an automatic transmission.
The powertrain has been tuned for load-lugging and extreme off-roading. The pick-yp truck comes equipped with a 4WD (four-wheel drive) system. The pick-up includes front and rear differential locking, as well as a 29-degree approach angle and a 26-degree departure angle.
The new Toyota Hilux pickup truck has a 700mm water wading capacity. It is built on the same IMV ladder-frame chassis as the Fortuner and the Innova Crysta. The flatbed of the pick-up truck measures 1,555 x 1,540mm and has a load capacity of 470 litres.
The 2019 Toyota Hilux has a piano-black grille with chrome surround and LED projector headlamps with DRLs on either side. L-shaped fog lamp surrounds, chromed ORVMs, chromed door handles, LED taillights, and 18-inch alloy wheels are included. The lifestyle pickup’s interior features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a reversing camera, leather upholstery, a push start-stop button, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, an upper cooled glovebox, and heat rejection windows.
