When the Hilux was launched for the Indian market, it created a lot of buzzes. The Hilux’s price has yet to be confirmed by the Japanese manufacturer. The pricing will be revealed and the product will be released in April, according to our estimates. In addition, test drives should begin at the same time. The new pick-up vehicle has now been spotted in a dealership parking lot. A few photos of the Toyota Hilux are shown below.
Toyota Hilux Booking Price and Status
Two Hilux are depicted in the photographs; the first is done in white, while the other is finished in red. Gray Metallic, Silver Metallic, and White Pearl are the other colors available. The Hilux’s booking fee was fixed at Rs. 1 lakh. The costs of the pick-up truck have yet to be officially published by Toyota. However, according to a leaked document, the Hilux will be priced similarly to the Jeep Compass.
On the 3rd of February, the Japanese manufacturer ceased taking reservations for the Hilux. Because of the production restrictions that Toyota was experiencing, this was done. The world is experiencing a semiconductor shortage, which is causing these restrictions. If the manufacturer had continued to accept reservations, the waiting period would have been much longer, and customers would have lost interest in the Hilux.
Toyota Hilux Engine
Only one diesel engine will be available for the Hilux. It’s a 2.8-liter diesel engine with 204 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of peak torque. Because this is the same engine as the Fortuner, the number appears to be recognizable. A 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission will be available.
Because it is a lifestyle pick-up truck, Hilux will be used for off-roading as well. Toyota has a 4X4 system, electronic differential lock, downhill assist control, auto limited-slip differential, and a 4X4 Electronic Drive Switch to offer.
Furthermore, Toyota’s A-TRAC (Active Traction Control) system is available. It continuously monitors the traction of the tyres, and as soon as it detects a slide, the system applies the brakes to that wheel, transferring power to other wheels with higher grip.
Toyota Hilux Features
The Hilux has a solid feature set that should be sufficient for most individuals. A multi-function steering wheel, push-button engine start/stop, 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, cruise control, multi-information display, automatic headlights, leather upholstery, LED projector headlamps, and other features are available. A touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is also available.
Toyota Hilux Dimensions
Toyota Hilux has a length of 5,325 mm, a width of 1,855 mm, and a height of 1,865 mm. It weighs in at a whopping 2.1 tonnes. Hilux has a 216 mm ground clearance and a 3,085 mm wheelbase.
The pick-up truck is built on the same IMV-2 platform as the Toyota Innova Crysta and Toyota Fortuner.
