Triumph Motorcycles has introduced its 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS for the global market. The current generation of the bike receives a number of new electrical and mechanical enhancements. The engine of the motorcycle has also been updated, and it now produces slightly more power than before. Triumph India’s website already lists the new Speed Triple 1200 RS, which is scheduled to hit the Indian market soon.

Visually, the Speed Triple 1200 RS differs slightly from its predecessor. The most noticeable cosmetic update to the motorcycle is a new sleek-looking tail lamp and a sharper tail section. The 5.0-inch TFT display was also kept. In terms of technology, the motorcycle now features front wheel lift control, engine braking control, brake slide control, and fully adjustable cruise control. The motorcycle still has five ride modes: rain, road, sport, track, and rider, as well as cornering ABS and traction control.
The motorcycle’s suspension consists of 43 mm upside-down forks in the front and a fully adjustable rear monoshock. The new Speed Triple R has Öhlins’ latest-generation SmartEC3 semi-active suspension with Öhlins Objective Based Tuning Interface (OBTi), allowing riders to change the damping characteristics. The bike’s braking system has 320 mm twin floating discs with Brembo Stylema calipers up front and a single 220 mm disc with Brembo twin piston calipers out back. The motorcycle is equipped with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres as standard.

The motorcycle’s powerplant remains a liquid-cooled 1,160 cc triple-cylinder engine, but it has been tweaked to produce 180 horsepower and 128 Nm, which is slightly over 2 bhp and 3 Nm higher than previously. The engine is coupled to a six-speed transmission with a bi-directional quickshifter, like before.
