The TVS Jupiter 125 is the Hosur-based company’s first family-oriented 125cc scooter as the TVS NTorq 125 is more on the sporty side of things targeted at younger audiences. The Jupiter 125 comes with the largest-in-segment underseat storage, a unique first-in-segment apron-mounted fuel tank cap, and a few other features that make it very practical.

TVS Jupiter 125 Price:

Prices of the TVS Jupiter 125 start from Rs 81,275 for the base variant with steel wheels and front drum brake. The variant with alloy wheels and drum brakes comes in at Rs 83,825, whereas the range-topping front disc brake with alloy wheels variant costs Rs 88, 075 (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The base variant is available in two colour schemes: Titanium Grey and Pristine White, while the mid-spec front drum brake/alloy wheels version comes in Dawn Orange, Indiblue, Titanium Grey, and Pristine White colour options. The top-end disc variant is offered in three colours: Dawn Orange, Indiblue, and Titanium Grey.

The TVS Jupiter 125 boasts of LED DRLs, headlight and tail lamp. You get a semi-digital instrument cluster that shows the real-time and average mileage, distance to empty, triple trip meters, odometer, clock, low voltage indicator, helmet reminder and a fuel gauge. The scooter also features a silent starter along with a stop-start system to improve mileage in peak traffic. A massive 33-litre under seat storage can accommodate two ISI-certified helmets, along with an apron-mounted two-litre cubbyhole and an integrated charging port, with a retractable hook. Interestingly, the fuel tank cap is on the apron (a segment-first feature), making refuelling a breeze.

The TVS Jupiter 125 is powered by a new 124.8cc single-cylinder two-valve engine, producing 8.3PS at 6000rpm and 10.5Nm at 4500rpm. Comparatively, the 110cc TVS Jupiter makes 7.47PS and 8.4Nm, whereas the TVS NTorq 125 churns out 9.38PS and 10.5Nm.

TVS Jupiter 125 Suspension And Brakes:

The Jupiter 125 gets a new chassis, which is sprung on a telescopic front fork and a three-step preload-adjustable gas-charged rear monoshock. It rolls on 12-inch wheels shod with 90-section tyres at both the ends. Braking prowess comes from a front and rear 130mm drum brakes (or a 220mm disc up front, if you opt for the top variant) with combined braking tech as a standard feature. At 109kg, the 125cc scooter weighs 2kg more than the 110cc one.
