The Raider now comes in a new entry-level version from TVS Motor Company. As a cost-cutting effort, the Raider is now available with drum brakes on both ends, but other than that, it is exactly the same. With a new variation priced at Rs 84,869 (ex-showroom), the Raider is almost Rs 10,000 less expensive than it was previously.
The Raider Drum model comes in two color schemes: Wicked Black and Striking Red, and it has a single-piece seat. The motorcycle also comes equipped with an LED headlamp and LCD cluster. The Raider also includes a TFT display with TVS’s “SmartXonnect” technology in the higher-spec variants.
It still has a front telescopic fork arrangement and a rear monoshock in terms of bike components. A 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine producing 11.2 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm powers the Raider 125. There is a 5-speed gearbox attached to the engine. The motorcycle has two riding modes: Power and Eco. According to reports, Power mode provides 10% higher top-end power.
