Upcoming Mahindra Electric SUV Teaser

The inside peeks glimpsed in the latest teaser make us wonder if the car in question is the Mahindra XUV900 e-SUV.
In July 2022, Mahindra & Mahindra will reveal three electric SUV designs, rather than just one. The new designs are part of the company’s “Born Electric Vision” campaign, and production vehicles are expected to debut between 2023 and 2025. In a fresh development, Mahindra has released another another teaser, this time showing the interior of the future-ready XUV900 e-SUV.

As you can see in the video teaser above, Mahindra has hidden the majority of the cabin of the next concept, leaving only the flat top steering wheel and red ambient lighting exposed. However, after tweaking with a handful of video screenshots showed a lot more. The infotainment and instrument cluster are both made in a single component, similar to the Mahindra XUV700. Furthermore, the dashboard would have a clean appearance. It’s too early to say, but the basic structure of the dashboard, combined with the current design motif, makes us wonder if the vehicle in question is the Mahindra XUV900 concept.

Upcoming Mahindra Electric SUV Teaser

Last year, the homegrown automaker unveiled the ‘Born Electric Vehicle’ platform, and the dedicated EV architecture will be critical to the company’s future chances in the electric vehicle market. While specifics on the three eSUVs that will be born as part of the company’s ambitious initiative are still scant, the two teaser films we’ve seen so far offer us a good sense of what to expect in terms of aesthetics from the Mahindra XUV900 concept. They are, of course, the creation of Pratap Bose, who joined Mahindra as Executive Vice President and Chief Design Officer in June of last year.

3 SUVs To Be Unveiled By Mahindra

Upcoming Mahindra Electric SUV Teaser

The three electric SUVs set to debut later this year are expected to have dynamic front- and rear-end style, as well as plenty of LED lighting. The overall style package will most likely be an extension of the XUV700, which means the vehicles will likely have sharply carved surfaces and an aggressive posture. There’s a significant likelihood the new EV lineup will include a compact SUV, a mid-size SUV, and a crossover SUV-coupe. These are very certainly vehicles based on the Mahindra XUV300, Mahindra XUV700, and Mahindra XUV900, which are all based on the XUV Aero concept that was presented a few years ago. These cars were created by Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE), the company’s design centre in the West Midlands.
