Political parties have been aggressively pushing for their respective positions. This usually entails a slew of new initiatives and investments in the state. 1. Ganga Expressway, Uttar Pradesh

The Ganga Expressway is a major project in Uttar Pradesh that is currently under construction. The project has a total length of 1047 kilometres, of which 594 kilometres have been approved. This highway will run parallel to the Ganga River and connect all of Uttar Pradesh’s major cities.

2. Six National Highway Projects in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh

Union Minister of Road, Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone of six national highway projects in Meerut with a total cost of Rs 8,364 crores. This project will facilitate the farmers of these regions to take their crops to the market.

3. Three National Highway Projects in Muzaffarnagar

In a recent visit, Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone and inaugurated three national highway projects in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. These new routes are targeted at farmer welfare in these regions.

4. Six National Highway Projects in Ayodhya

Nitin Gadkari also laid the foundation of six national highways in Ayodhya worth Rs 8,698 crore. This includes a ring road and the 84-Kosi Parikrama Marg. The 84-Kosi Parikrama Marg is expected to be completed by 2023.

5. New Expressway to connect Delhi & Lucknow

The government is planning to construct a new expressway to connect Delhi & Lucknow. This new expressway is expected to reduce the commute time from 10 hours to three and a half hours. This will be quite beneficial for people from both cities.
