As the SUV lineup, which currently consists of the Nexon, Safari, and Harrier, will be updated, Tata Motors has already released more than three teaser videos for the upcoming models, highlighting their opulence and luxury. Given that the test mule aircraft for the 2022 Safari and Harrier have been spotted on camera, but no official confirmation has yet been made, the possibility of them taking off together cannot be ruled out either.
The market for midsize SUVs has expanded dramatically in recent years, and automakers are introducing new models to raise the bar higher. Some have been successful in doing so. Given that it is the first vehicle to ride on the OMEGA (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced) platform, the Harrier made a big impression upon its launch in January 2019.
The Harrier’s popularity paved the way for the release of its three-row sibling in February 2021, when the Safari nameplate was brought back. Both SUVs will undergo updates due to increased competition, but no significant cosmetic changes are anticipated. The Safari’s 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine can be found in six- and seven-seater configurations.
It produces 170 PS and 350 Nm, and like the Harrier, it can be paired with either a six-speed MT or an AT. Although there are rumours that a new turbo engine is being developed, we are unsure if it will be included in the facelifts. The 2022 Safari may get a new front grille with rectangular elements and silver accents, judging by the spy photos.
You might add a black bumper insert to the back. A larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, the most recent iRA in-car connective features, a 360-degree around view camera system, and possibly ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology could be among the interior updates for the 2022 Tata Harrier and Safari.
Tata should join the bandwagon because more manufacturers are implementing ADAS, and this could be the most important update of all. The teaser reveals a new white roof design as well as additional comfortable and convenient interior features.
