The journey began from Padua in north-eastern Italy, passing through Modena and finally concluded in Rome, covering about 550km.
On December 20, the Italian police went on a life-saving journey. It involved delivering two kidneys to patients who were hundreds of miles apart.
Now, because delivering a kidney isn’t as critically time-bound as a heart, transportation through a helicopter was avoided, as it was kept ready for other emergencies.
The 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10-powered Huracan, which belts out more than 550PS and 500Nm helped saved the lives of the two patients.
