In Indonesia, Wuling, a Chinese automaker, has just launched a new tiny electric vehicle. The new electric vehicle, which just made its formal premiere in Jakarta, has a small footprint and a futuristic design. It also has an electric powertrain.

The Wuling EV has a single-box silhouette on the outside, with a big aerodynamic windscreen and a small hood. The usage of a high-mounted LED strip that extends towards the profile and serves as a platform for the mirrors is one of the model’s primary exterior highlights. Regular headlights, on the other hand, are located at the front bumper on the bottom side. The front fascia of this small EV was inspired by virtual reality glasses, according to the designers. The EV’s overall profile is defined by its small wheels, which give it the appearance of a shopping cart.

While the model’s official specifications have yet to be released, the mechanicals are likely to be similar to the Wuling Air, which was leaked by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The Chinese-spec EV will be available in two trim levels, with the seating layout being the primary difference. A two-seater trim with a length of 2,599 mm (102.3 inches) will be available, while a four-seater trim with a length of 2,974 (117.1 inches) will be available. Both will be powered by a 40 horsepower electric motor and will be positioned higher than Wuling’s current Mini EV and Nano EV models.

The Wuling EV will be available for purchase in Indonesia, and it has been chosen as the official vehicle for the G20 Bali Summit in November.
