Today, Hyundai India introduced the all-new Tucson mid-size crossover in the Indian market. The official prices of the new car are yet to be announced by the firm. The all-new Tucson is one of the brand’s best-selling vehicles in global markets, and it will compete with the Jeep Compass in the Indian market. Hyundai will unveil the Tucson’s pricing in the coming weeks.
The all-new Hyundai Tucson looks nothing like the previous models. Hyundai used to sell the previous-generation Tucson in India, but the car was withdrawn due to low demand and falling sales figures.
The 2022 Tucson appears to be a whole new generation car. The Tucson’s new look, along with the Parametric grille, attracts a lot of attention. The grille has integrated LED DRLs, and the car has all-LED headlamps.
Hyundai has also revised the all-new Tucson’s bumper. The new Tucson’s profile features deep creases all around that compliment the overall crisp appearance. The floating-roof appearance is created by blacked-out pillars. The sleek all-LED tail lamps are linked by an LED strip, similar to what we seen with the Venue facelift.
The new Tucson also gets brand-new alloy wheels and with a contrasting roof rail, it sure looks like an interesting package. Hyundai also sprinkled a good amount of chrome surrounds on the windows that add a premium touch.
Hyundai has also updated the cabin of the all-new Tucson with a slew of features. Starting with the massive 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Hyundai BlueLink connected car technology, the Tucson gets a long list.
The controls of climate control systems are capacitive touch-based. Also, the car gets ambient lighting and an e-parking brake and a switch to select the modes of the transmission. The new Tucson gets a light-coloured leather upholstery that sure makes the cabin look much more premium. The Tucson also comes with a panoramic sunroof.
There are many other luxurious features including hands-free tailgate operation. The electric tailgate opens and closes without touching the boot lid.
ADAS Features
The all-new Hyundai Tucson will be available with LEVEL-2 ADAS autonomous driving system. The system will use onboard cameras and a radar system. Hyundai Tucson offers a slew of ADAS features including Autonomous Emergency Braking, lane-keep indicator, adaptive cruise control, speed sign reading and more. It will be first Hyundai car to offer ADAS in India.
Both Petrol & Diesel Engine Options
Hyundai offers a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine option. These are the updated version of the engines available with the previous version of the car. With the petrol engine, the Tucson gets power of 152 PS while with the diesel, the power rises to 185 PS. The petrol unit will come with a six-speed automatic transmission while the diesel engine will get an 8-speed automatic transmission.
