As interior photos are now available, MG Motor India has today released another teaser of its updated Hector. It is envisioned as a “Symphony of Luxury,” according to the British manufacturer, and is “designed to offer a cinematic and immersive experience complemented by handcrafted textures, soft-touch tactile, and versatile ambience on demand.”
The dashboard is made of layers of brown leather with metallic accents, and a thin red strip of ambient lighting runs the length of the dashboard. The dark tan colour of the leather-upholstered seats adds to the SUV’s premium appearance. A flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls and an entirely digital instrument panel were also visible.
An updated front grille known as the “Argyle Inspired Diamond Mesh Grille” with a sleek LED Daytime Running on top and a chrome element below was hinted at in previous teasers. A split LED headlamp cluster mounted on the bumper and a noticeable lower central air inlet with a skid plate are two additional highlights.

A larger 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a portrait orientation is present inside. The HD unit, which will include the newest in-car connectivity features and technologies, is the biggest ever made available in India. We do anticipate an upgrade to the list of safety features, and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology may also be included.
It is important to remember that the Astor already has Level 1 ADAS. Updates to the bumper and tail lamps are anticipated for the rear, and a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels will also be offered. However, since the 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and the 2.0-liter diesel engine could remain in place, we do not anticipate any mechanical or dimensional changes to be presented.
Prior to the 2022 MG Hector’s upcoming market launch in India, where it will compete in a fiercely competitive market, we hope to learn more information about the vehicle. Additionally, the price tag might be a little bit more expensive than the current model.
