2024 Ford Mustang Will Reportedly Debut In September At Detroit Auto Show

According to a recent source, the 2024 Ford Mustang will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show, so we might not have to wait too long to see it.

An insider told Automotive News that the new pony car will instead be making a splash in the Motor City, contrary to earlier predictions that stated the Mustang will make its premiere in April 2023.

If that is the case, it represents a significant victory for the programme, which hasn’t been held since the coronavirus pandemic in 2019. Mike Levine, the company’s director of North American Product Communications, told the outlet that Ford isn’t confirming anything. We have previously announced the arrival of the all-new, seventh-generation Mustang, and we can’t wait to provide more information shortly.

If not, we’ll find out for sure on September 14 when the North American International Auto Show opens to the media. Ford might give some hints at the Woodward Dream Cruise. Then, on the 17th, the whole public will have the chance to go.

Returning to the Mustang, spy photographers have often captured the revised coupe and convertible. A digital instrument cluster that connects to an entirely new infotainment system will give the inside a high-tech facelift while allowing the exterior to become slightly more edgy. A contemporary dashboard, modernised switchgear, and better materials will join them.

According to two sources, the car will feature carryover engines, and production is expected to start in the first half of 2023, according to Automotive News. As the 2.3-Liter High Performance Package boosts the output to 330 horsepower (246 kW/ 335 PS), it is perfectly possible that the turbocharged four-cylinder will receive a slight performance boost to deliver about 320 hp (239 kW/ 324 PS).

Ford has already acknowledged plans for a hybrid version in the longer term. The company stated when the vehicle was first unveiled in 2018 that it will focus on “delivering V8-like performance with additional low-end torque.”
