Kawasaki India has released the all-new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R in India for Rs 11.09 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorbike will be globally introduced in June 2023, with improved styling, mechanical changes, and new technology, as well as an updated version of the 636 cc inline-four engine. The new ZX-6R comes with only one model and two colors: Lime Green and Metallic Graphite Gray.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Design
The Kawasaki ZX-6R has all-new style, with the most visible difference being the revised headlamps, which give it a sharper appearance. It gets the characteristic Ninja series taillamp at the back. The motorcycle now has a new TFT full-color instrumentation with smartphone connectivity via the Kawasaki Rideology app. The motorcycle’s ride modes include Sport, Rain, Road, and configurable Rider modes.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Specs
The motorbike is equipped with 41 mm Showa inverted forks and a bottom-link Uni-Trak monoshock unit at the rear. Preload, compression, and rebound damping are all fully adjustable on both ends. The new bike has dual semi-floating 310mm discs with 4-piston calipers up front and a single 220mm petal disc with a single-piston caliper up back. The braking system is linked to the ABS system of the Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-Lock Braking System (KIBS). Other motorcycle rider aids include traction control, a slipper clutch, and a fast shifter.
Ninja ZX-6R Engine and Powertrain
On the mechanical front, the ZX-6R’s liquid-cooled, inline-four, 636 cc engine now gets new exhaust headers, a new cam profile, and a modified exhaust system. The revised powertrain produces 122.3 horsepower and 69 Nm of peak torque, which is slightly less than its predecessor. The engine is paired to a 6-speed transmission.
