We now have the sales statistics for February 2025, and as expected, Maruti topped the table with over 1.6 lakh units sold. This time, Mahindra surpassed Hyundai as the second-best-selling car brand, with Skoda posting the biggest monthly and yearly sales growth. Let’s take a closer look at the brand sales in February.

In February 2025, Maruti sold more over 1.6 lakh units, more than Mahindra, Hyundai, and Tata combined. However, the automaker’s monthly sales fell by more than 7 percent.
With almost 50,000 units shipped last month, Mahindra surpassed Hyundai as India’s second-best selling brand. While month-on-month demand remained stable, Indian automakers’ annual sales increased by about 19%.
Hyundai dropped to third place in the sales rankings, losing more than 6,000 vehicles every month. Its YoY sales also fell by about 5%.
Tata is another brand that has had negative monthly and annual sales growth. More than 46,000 Tata vehicles were delivered in February.
Honda experienced the highest loss of more than 21 percent in yearly sales. The Japanese carmaker sold around 5,600 units in February. Its monthly sales also declined by 8 percent.
