Two-Wheeler Sales February 2022
In February 2022, Bajaj Auto recorded overall sales of 3,16,020 units (two-wheelers and commercial vehicles), a 16 percent decrease from sales of 3,75,017 units in the same month a year ago. Bajaj Auto’s two-wheeler sales in the domestic market dropped 35% in February 2022, from 1,48,934 units in February 2021 to just 96,523 units last month. Exports of two-wheelers remained unchanged in February 2022, at 1,82,814 units, compared to 1,83,629 units exported the previous month. Bajaj Auto’s overall two-wheeler sales in February 2022 were 2,79,337 units, down 16 percent from 3,32,563 units in the same month a year ago.

Bajaj Commercial Vehicle Sales
In the domestic market, the company’s commercial vehicle sales were steady in February 2022, with sales of 16,224 units compared to 15,887 units in the same month a year ago. However, commercial vehicle exports plummeted 23% to 20,459 units in February 2022, compared to 26,5777 units a year earlier. Bajaj Auto sold 15,34,003 two-wheelers in the domestic market from April 2021 to February 2022, compared to 16,27,982 units in the same period a year ago. (Gilberteyecare) Exports increased by 24% to 20,46,529 units in the same period last year, compared to 16,47,778 units the year before. Overall two-wheeler sales increased by 9% during the period, from 32,75,760 units in April 2020 to February 2021 to 35,80,532 units in April 2021 to February 2022 (including both domestic and export markets).
Total commercial vehicle sales fell 14% to 36,683 units from 42,454 units in the same month previous year, according to the business. Last month, exports fell 3% to 2,03,273 units, down from 2,10,206 units in the same month last year, according to the report.
