The C5 Aircross gets a premium price tag and the most obvious reasons it comes to India via the CKD route. Dimensionally, recently received Citroen is considerably larger than the korean Hyundai Tucson. The Aircross is only 20mm longer than the Tucson in length, also in width 119mm wider and height wise 50mm more taller than the rival. Also C5 Aircross wheelbase also more longer than the Hyundai’s Tucson. The C5 Aircross is considerably larger than the Tucson and commands better road presence. Due to larger dimensions Aircross result a more spacious bootspace of 67litres, in compare with Hyundai Tucson. Both the SUVs rides on the 18-inch alloy wheels.

Comparitively, their is no such difference in engine and gearbox in both the SUV’s as in the table we can see only one key difference. Both the SUVs powered from a 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine and which is connected to 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Also peak torque produced by the both the engine is exact identical in both the SUV’s, this makes both the SUV’s perfect rival in the Indian market. However, the Tucson seems more powerful than the C5 Aircross by 8hp.

The Citroen C5 Aircross is the premium segment SUV with the premium price tag so far. Even if you are buying a top specs Hyundai Tucson diesel version which will cost you Rs 2.50 lakh cheaper than the entry level C5 Aircross. Infact the petrol variant is more affordable compared to Citroen. Obviously Hyundai Tucson make sense in term of pricing aNd and makes value for money SUV in the market.
