Hyundai i20 Prices Increased, iMT Variants Of Hyundai Discontinued Today
Hyundai India has restructured the i20 model lineup and raised pricing. The hatchback, which is available in both petrol and diesel models, will see a price increase of up to Rs 21,500. Furthermore, the iMT variations of the turbo-petrol versions have been withdrawn, and only DCT transmissions are available.
The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine comes in Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O) trim levels. While the Magna and Sportz trims both cost Rs 11,500 more, the higher Asta and Asta (O) trims cost Rs 16,600 more.
The price of all i20 turbo trims has been raised by Rs 21,500. The Hyundai i20 now starts at Rs 7.19 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.83 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The i20 is positioned above the newly announced Grand i10 Nios and comes equipped with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electric sunroof, a seven-speaker Bose sound system, auto headlights, and ambient lighting.
The i20’s 1.2-litre engine generates 82bhp and 115Nm torque and is paired to a five-speed manual transmission and an IVT gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines produce 118bhp and 99bhp, respectively. A seven-speed DCT and a six-speed manual gearbox are available as transmission choices.
