Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport Launched In India

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the launch of the Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs. 10.35 lakh for the W6 TGDi variant and rising to Rs. 12.90 lakh for the top-spec W8(O) TGDi trim (both prices, ex-showroom). It is the first SUV to be powered by an all-new 1.2-litre mStallion TGDi engine, which is only paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

According to the domestic SUV manufacturer, the over-boost capability allows for a momentary peak torque of up to 250 Nm. It is now available in four exterior colour schemes, including three new dual-tone colours: Blazing Bronze with black roof top, Napoli Black with white roof top, and Pearl White with black roof top. The Blazing Bronze colour is now available in a single-tone shade, while the existing Pearl White and Napoli Black colours are still available with this variant.

To distinguish itself from the standard variant, it has an enhanced exterior with red grille inserts and all-black ORVMs, as well as an all-black leatherette interior, chrome-finish pedals, and dual-tone exteriors, among other changes. The Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport is said to accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in five seconds.

Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport Performance

The performance is derived from a 1.2-litre TGDi turbocharged petrol engine that produces 130 PS at 5,000 rpm and 230 Nm of peak torque between 1,500 and 3,750 rpm. According to the brand, it is one of the fastest ICE SUVs under Rs. 15 lakh, while also delivering high fuel efficiency.

It has the widest cabin in its class and a five-star safety rating from Global NCAP. “The new TurboSportTM series powered by the TGDi powertrain has been developed for the Thrillennials seeking the ultimate driving experience,” said R Velusamy, President of Automotive Technology and Product Development, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. The XUV300 TGDi has been engineered to provide a competitive advantage in terms of performance, safety, comfort, and style for customers looking for an adrenaline-fueled SUV.”

Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport Bookings and Deliveries

The Mahindra XUV300 TGDi, which will be available in W6, W8, and W8(O) Petrol Manual trims, will be available for test drives, bookings, and deliveries across the country beginning October 10, 2022. Disc brakes on all four wheels, front parking sensors, six airbags, ESP with hill start assist, ABS, passenger airbag deactivation switch, ISOFIX seats, Corner Braking Control, and other features stand out.
