The Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition has been officially launched in India. The Jimny Thunder Edition, which comes in Zeta and Alpha versions, costs between Rs 10.74 lakh and Rs 14.05 lakh (ex-showroom) and has cosmetic upgrades over the base model. The primary attraction, though, is the price; depending on the version, the limited-edition vehicle is between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh less expensive than the comparable normal Jimny.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition Updates
A few prominent cosmetic upgrades are added to the Thunder Edition models: a faux bull-bar style front bumper item with a silver finish, bonnet trim pieces, metal fenders plates, door decals, door cladding, a metal skid plate, door visors, and more trimming on the wing mirror caps. The external styling is reminiscent of the Jimny standard’s “Summit Seeker” kit.

Inside, the interior is largely the same as the standard Jimny, with all the frills being retained. However, the Thunder Edition receives some aesthetic upgrades, including seat covers, from Maruti Suzuki’s accessory list.
No Mechanical Changes In The New Jimmy
There are no mechanical modifications to the Jimny SUV; it is still powered by the reliable 1.5-liter K15 petrol engine, which produces 134 Nm of peak torque and 101 horsepower. Customers have the option of a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission, and all models come with low-range four-wheel drive.
