Upcoming Hyundai Cars
1. Hyundai Tucson
Hyundai will be launching the next-generation Tucson premium SUV in the Indian market on 13 July. The premium SUV competes with cars like Jeep Compass in the segment. Hyundai is launching the fourth generation Tucson which was already available in the international market. The car comes with parametric front grille with integrated LED DRLs, split headlamps, all LED tail lamps, redesigned dashboard and so on. The SUV will come with a fully digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated seats, ADAS, panoramic sunroof and so on. The Tucson is expected to be offered with a 2.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine. Both engines will be mated to an automatic transmission.
2. Creta Facelift
Hyundai launched the current model Creta in 2020 and is now preparing a facelift for the popular mid-size SUV. Hyundai did reveal a facelifted Creta version abroad, however it is rumoured that the Indian version would be slightly different. The SUV will have more features than ever before, as well as the same engine options. Engine options will include a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.4 litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5 litre turbo diesel. Hyundai may include ADAS in the Creta facelift. Hyundai is likely to release the Creta facelift later this year.
3. Kona EV
Electric cars are gaining popularity and are now a common sight on our roads. Hyundai launched the Kona EV in India in 2019, competing with the likes of the MG ZS EV in the class. It has a broad list of features and a good driving range, but the high price was a detriment. Hyundai is rumoured to be working on a Kona EV facelift. The upgraded model is likely to have a revamped exterior appearance as well as an improved cabin with more features, just like any other Hyundai. It is unclear whether Hyundai would expand the range and work on pricing this time around.
4. Hyundai Ioniq 5
The Ioniq 5 is the final car on the list. Hyundai revealed earlier this year that the Ioniq 5 electric car would be available in India this year. It will be put together in India. It is an electric car with classic styling and current features. The car has already been spotted a few times in India and is likely to be released in two variations. There will be a single motor, a dual motor, and an E-AWD variation available. It is estimated to be priced between Rs 50 and Rs 60 lakh.
