New Tata Nexon EV With Long-Range Launching On 11th May

On May 11, 2022, the much-anticipated Tata Nexon EV with long range will be released in India. The electric small SUV will get a bigger battery pack with a longer range, as well as some visual and feature improvements. While the company has yet to divulge official specifics, the long-range Tata Nexon EV is expected to have a new 40kWh battery pack. To accommodate the larger battery, a few alterations will be made to the floor.

The new Nexon EV is expected to have a range of more than 400 kilometres on a single charge. It will be between 300 and 320 kilometres under real-world conditions. With the electric SUV, the business will also provide a more powerful 6.6kW AC charger.

Currently, the vehicle is equipped with a 30.2kWh battery pack that provides an ARAI-certified range of 312 kilometres on a single charge. It comes with a 3.3kW AC charger that takes 10 hours to charge.

Selectable regeneration modes may be included to the new Tata Nexon EV in 2022 as part of this update. It will improve its range by allowing the intensity of regenerative braking to be adjusted. To be clear, the current model of the EV features a non-adjustable regeneration braking system.

Tata Nexon EV With Long-Range

As previously stated, the Tata Nexon EV will be equipped with a number of interesting features. The electric SUV is likely to come with ventilated front seats, an air purifier, park mode, cruise control, and an electronic stability programme, just like its ICE cousin (ESP). The remaining features will be carried over from the current model.

According to rumours, the 30.2kWh type of the SUV will continue to be sold alongside the longer-range model. The new model is estimated to cost between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 4 lakh more than the existing model. It is currently offered in three trim levels: XM, XZ+, and XZ+ LUX, with prices starting at Rs 14.54 lakh, Rs 15.95 lakh, and Rs 16.95 lakh, respectively. The XZ+ and XZ+ LUX Dark Editions are priced at Rs 16.29 lakh and Rs 17.15 lakh, respectively. All of the prices shown are ex-showroom.
