Ola S1 electric scooter was launched on August 15 at an introductory price of ₹99,000 (ex-showroom).
Tomorrow, September 1, Ola Electric will open the purchase window for its S1 electric scooter. The less expensive alternative to the brand’s flagship S1 Pro electric scooter was released on August 15 at a starting price of $99,000. (ex-showroom). The electric scooter is based on the same platform as the S1 Pro, which was introduced last year and has already sold 70,000 units. The S1 will begin shipping on September 7.
The Ola S1 electric scooter has a 3kWh electric motor that gives it a range of 141 kilometres on a single charge. It has three different riding modes; in eco mode, it has a range of 128 kilometres, while in normal mode, it has a range of 101 kilometres. In Sports mode, it can travel 90 kilometres on a single charge. It is claimed to have a top speed of 90 kilometres per hour.
The company will provide all software updates for the S1 electric scooter, including MoveOS 3. The scooter will be built at the EV manufacturer’s Future Factory, which is billed as the world’s largest two-wheeler factory. It will be available in five colours: Jet Black, Coral Glam, Liquid Silver, Porcelain White, and Neo Mint.
As for its design, the Ola S1 looks identical to the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter. It gets LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a fully digital instrument cluster, and LED taillights.
Ola Electric is also developing the country’s fastest electric car, which will be available in 2024. The upcoming Ola electric car is said to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in four seconds and travel 500 kilometres on a single charge. The vehicle is expected to be a high-end offering.
