Top 5 Tata Motors Electric Cars: Curvv, Altroz & More

Tata is planning on having a firm grip on the electric market with a range of new EVs in the lineup getting ready to be launched in the market, including the Tata Curvv concept.

Tata Motors wants to increase the number of electric vehicles in its lineup. Given buyers’ passion for electric vehicles, an increase in EV models appears to be a foregone conclusion. Another factor contributing to this trend is increased competition from rivals in the segment such as MG Motors and others. They recently revealed the Tata Curvv electric concept SUV for the Indian market to compete with the competition.

Tata Motors already has quite a few electric vehicles in the Indian market, like the Nexon EV and Tigor EV, among others. Adding to its current line-up, they have a few facelifts and new models in its pipeline, either confirmed or speculated to be in the market soon. Here we put together a list of top Tata electric vehicles you can expect to see in the market soon.

1. Tata Curvv Concept

The Tata Curvv Concept is a new concept from the Indian carmaker that showcases the company’s planned mid-size electric SUV. This new model features the automaker’s new design language, which includes an LED light that runs over the vehicle’s front fascia. This new car is rumoured to include a powertrain tuned for extended range, as well as a slew of new driver-assistance systems.

2. Tata Nexon EV Long-Range

The Tata Nexon EV is a mid-size SUV that has been on the market since 2020 and is in need of an update. The Indian automaker intends to release a longer-range version of the SUV in response to demand. The new car will feature a larger battery pack with a range of 400 kilometres on a single charge. It may also receive some inside and exterior improvements.

3. Tata Tigor EV Long-Range

The Tata Tigor EV made its debut in 2021 and has been on the market since then. The model’s version for 2022 is currently being debated. The revised model will have interior and external changes, as well as a range of 370 to 400 kilometres, similar to the Nexon EV. According to sources, the Tigor EV test mule has been observed testing.

4. Tata Sierra EV

Tata Sierra EV is one of the cars from the automakers that has been getting a lot of attention since it was first showcased in the 2020 Auto expo. The Sierra EV is expected to be launched by 2025 as it is still undergoing development. It is expected to have the Sigma platform based on the ALFA platform used by the automakers in EVs.

5. Tata Altroz EV

Tata Altroz EV, first showcased at Geneva Motor Show in 2019, is expected to hit the markets soon. The hatchback is expected to have similar looks as the ICE version though it will likely have a similar powertrain as in the Nexon EV. The new EV is expected to have connectivity features.
