TVS Jupiter 110 off to a great opening

A little more than a week has passed since TVS unveiled the new Jupiter 110, which comes at a reasonable price. Priced at Rs 73,700, the base model is a few thousand rupees less expensive than the Honda Activa 6G.

Almost all of the TVS dealers BikeWale spoke with in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Chennai expressed satisfaction with the way Indian customers reacted to the new Jupiter. Although dealers say that bookings for this 110cc scooter have been rising, official booking numbers for the scooter are currently unavailable.

Some dealers claim that although many customers were considering a 125cc scooter such as the Suzuki Access 125, they ultimately reserved a Jupiter due to a variety of factors, the two most important of which were its design and characteristics. The dealers assert that the basic alloy version accounted for the majority of bookings, but starting in September, they noticed an increase in demand for the top-end edition.

In most major cities, the most in-demand colors are copper matte and matte blue. When the September sales numbers are out, we shall know how well the new Jupiter 110 actually performs. It’s interesting to note that TVS began producing the new model approximately 50 days earlier, replacing the outdated Jupiter, in order to prevent needless dealer stockpiling.
