Hyundai has opened booking for the updated Hyundai Alcazar and unveiled the vehicle’s exterior and interior design. The vehicle will shortly be launched. Though it receives a few extra inside luxuries, the facelifted Creta served as inspiration for both the exterior style and the cabin layout. You can view the redesigned Alcazar in these ten in-depth photos.
ExteriorÂ
The refreshed Hyundai Creta serves as the model for the Alcazar’s new design, which also incorporates certain Exter-inspired features. As seen on the Exter, the front receives an integrated LED DRL arrangement with H-shaped lighting components. The dual-barrel LED headlights and the 3-slat grille were influenced by the Creta. This is also where you can see the radar for the driver assistance features that is located in the bumper.
Although the side profile has undergone some updating, it still has 18-inch dual-tone multi-spoke alloy wheels. A substantial skid plate now sits beneath the doors in place of the side step, and a more prominent pair of silver-finished roof rails are added.
The modifications at the back included an integrated LED tail lamp arrangement with H-shaped lighting components at each end. The bumper features a thick silver rim and horizontal design elements. You can see the “Alcazar” badging beneath the tail lamps, and the dual-tip exhaust is still included.
InteriorÂ
The Alcazar facelift shares the same dashboard configuration as the revised Creta, including the new climate control panel and slimmer AC vents. This cabin has a navy blue and brown motif, but the dual-screen configuration and gloss black climate control panel are still part of the design.
The front seats are upholstered in leatherette and given the same brown and navy blue design. There is a ventilation system on the front seats as well.
The Alcazar is still available with six or seven seats, and the second row has bench seats as well as an electric boss mode that allows you to adjust the front passenger seat. Only the 6-seater versions of the vehicle have ventilation for the second-row captain seats.
FeaturesÂ
The Alcazar gets many new features, including dual-zone climate control, an 8-way power adjustable driver and co-driver seat, memory for the driver seat, and a wireless phone charger for the second row, in addition to its two 10.25-inch screens (one for infotainment and the other for instrumentation).
Additionally, it offers a panoramic sunroof, which is carried over from the previous model.
Six airbags (probably standard), electronic stability control (ESC), a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), all-wheel disc brakes, and a 360-degree camera are among the safety features that it will have. Additionally, Level 2 ADAS (advanced driving assistance systems) technologies including autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control will be included.
PowertrainÂ
With the exception of the naturally aspirated petrol engine, the Alcazar will have nearly identical powertrain options to the new Creta. A 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic gearbox) will be fitted to the turbo-petrol engine, while a 6-speed automatic will be fitted to the diesel engine. On both, a 6-speed manual transmission will be standard.
Expected Price & RivalsÂ
The redesigned Hyundai Alcazar is anticipated to start at Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom), and it will still compete with the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700.
