The British bike manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled 2021 model of Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC & XE today. There is also a limited edition i.e ‘Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition’. Let us look at the details of these bikes:-
2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE and Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC
The Scrambler 1200 XE & XC models have received updates to meet the latest emission norms. It gets a revised exhaust system tweaked for better heat dissipation. However, the engine remains identical. It is the same 1200cc parallel-twin engine delivering a peak torque of 110 Nm and peak power of 90PS.

The bike also includes various features such as adjustable handlebars, adjustable Ohlins suspension, 21-inch front wheel, twin Brembo M50 radial monobloc callipers, up to six riding modes (Off-Road Pro mode in XE Variant only), all-LED lighting, cornering ABS and cornering traction control (XE variant), Keyless ignition and USB charging socket.
The new 2021 scrambler 1200 XC and XE models are available in three colour options : Cobalt Blue with a Jet Black Stripe, Matt Khaki Green with a jet black stripe or the single tone Sapphire black option.
Steve McQueen Edition
Along with the Scrambler XE and XC, Triumph has also unveiled a special edition called ‘Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition’. This is to pay homage to the famous superstar and an automotive enthusiast Steve McQueen who used to race when not working. It is inspired by original competition-spec Triumph TR6 used in legendary barbed wire jump in the iconic 1963 World War 2 classic ‘The Great Escape’. The special edition is developed in partnership with McQueen Family. Only 1000 models will be available worldwide.
The bike will get individual number on billet-machined handlebar clamp; also featuring laser etched Steve McQueen signature. Each bike comes with unique authenticity certificate stating bike’s VIN number and carrying signatures of Triumph’s CEO and Chad McQueen; the son of Steve McQueen. It is based on Scrambler 1200 XE variant.
The bike gets a unique paint scheme with a competition green tank and brushed foil kneepads, hand-painted gold lining, gold heritage Triumph logos, dedicated Steve McQueen tank graphic, brushed aluminium Monza cap and brushed stainless steel tank strap. It will also get aluminium high-level front mudguard as standard, which will also get competition green paint like rear mudguard. The model also gets premium brown bench seat with stitched ribbing and Triumph branding to enhance the overall classic style and elegance of the bike.
