The 2024 Kia Carnival was formally unveiled following the facelifted MPV’s leak a few days ago while it was filming a TVC. There are significant stylistic modifications to the new Carnival. Next year, it is anticipated to make its debut in the Indian market.
As the automotive industry concentrates on the Japan Mobility Show, Kia has turned its attention to the makeover of its newest model, the Kia Carnival. They have changed the direction of the design, so the front and rear profiles are entirely different.
It comes with a new set of headlights up front that get long DRL strips stretching inside the grille. The grille design has been revised that looks more premium and is a tad larger than the outgoing version’s grille. Of course you get new bumpers at the front and rear. There is a new tail light cluster which looks sleek and wraps around the newly designed tailgate. The side profile looks exactly the same but there are new alloy wheel designs on offer.
Kia hasn’t revealed the interior images of the Carnival facelift yet but it is expected to get the new curved screen and fingerprint recognition features from the latest Kia models introduced internationally. The interior is also expected to come with updated colour tones and more features on offer. The MPV will be offered in multiple seating configurations.
The South Korean carmaker will introduce a new hybrid engine with the updated Carnival. It will be a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine paired to an electric motor producing a combined output of 227 HP and 350 Nm of torque. Kia will continue offering the same petrol and diesel engine options as well depending on the market. In India we can expect the diesel engined version first offered via the CKD route later next year.
