The Kia EV6 enters Indian via the CBU route with only 100 units allocated for our market.
In India, the Kia EV6 electric crossover is available in two trim levels: GT Line RWD and GT Line AWD. The GT Line RWD costs Rs. 59.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India), while the GT Line AWD costs Rs. 64.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India) (ex-showroom, India). The Kia EV6, the South Korean automaker’s electric flagship, is coming to India via CBU, and the 100 cars set aside for our market have already sold out. In reality, the company received a massive reaction, with 355 pre-orders for the electric vehicle, and would compensate by allocating more units to India. On May 26, 2022, reservations for the Kia EV6 began for a token fee of Rs. 3 lakh. Kia’s EV expansion will be led by 15 dealers in 12 cities, and the deliveries for the new Kia EV6 will begin in September 2022.

The drivetrain is the main difference between the two Kia EV6 models that were offered in India. The RWD version of the Kia EV6 has a single motor that produces 226 horsepower and 350 NM of torque, while the AWD version has a dual motor arrangement that produces 320 horsepower and 650 Nm of immediate torque. Both variants have the same 77.4 kWh battery pack, with a claimed range of 528 kilometres on RWD. Due to the dual-motor system, the AWD version has a much lower range, but Kia claims that it can still travel up to 425 kilometres on a single charge.
The Kia EV6 electric crossover is packed with amenities to match its futuristic appearance. ADAS features such as multi-collision braking, AEB, lane-keeping assist, lane follow assist, and blind-spot collision warning with rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, as well as parking collision avoidance assist, a reverse surround view monitor with a 3D model, and a blind-spot view monitor are included in the car. A tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is also included. ABS, BAS, ESC, Hill Hold Assist, Highway Driving Assist, and Vehicle Stability Management are all included in the vehicle.
At the time of launch, Kia undercuts all of its direct rivals in pricing, and the closest priced EV is the recently launched BMW i4. However, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 will soon join the party, and so will the Volvo XC40 Recharge, both of which are expected to be priced much closer to the Kia EV6.Â
