Skoda Enyaq iV Electric Crossover Spotted in India

Skoda seems to be getting ready to unveil its first electric vehicle in India. It will be their electric crossover, the Enyaq iV. On Indian roads, the new car has been observed. The Enyaq iV is expected to debut in early 2023.

Skoda has brought the vehicle in for testing purposes so far. It will be delivered as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) by the company. As a result, it would be slightly more expensive. The MEB platform serves as the foundation for the Enyaq iV. The platform is only for electric vehicles that have been built from the ground up. It also shares the platform with the Audi Q4 e-Tron and the Volkswagen ID4. It’s incredibly adaptable because it’s an electric platform from the start. It can be used to spawn automobiles with various body styles. The Enyaq iV has a length of 4,648 mm, a width of 1,877 mm, and a height of 1,616 mm. This means it’s a little smaller than the Kodiaq, but there should have no problems with space for the passengers.

The Enyaq iV 80x is the version seen in the spy images. This variant is a step down from the vRS variant at the top. If you can find a DC fast charger that supports it, the 80x model comes with a 77 kWh battery pack that can be fast-charged up to 125 kW. It is equipped with two motors, one for each axle. This indicates that it is equipped with all-wheel drive. The total power output is 265 PS, and the vehicle has a range of 460 kilometres on a single charge. In 6.9 seconds, it can hit a tonne.

The trim we see in the photos is the Lounge trim. The colour scheme is light grey and black. Skoda refers to this as Anodised Cross Decor. On the sides are 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels. A 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, yellow stitching on the seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and ambient lighting are all included in the cabin. Skoda’s upholstery is a combination of leather and microfibre cloth.

Skoda may possibly offer the 80 model in India, as it is only available with rear-wheel drive. This means it has a single motor with a 510 km range and a 204 PS power output. This variant will also be less expensive, and it will have the longest range of any EV in India. Kia is doing the same thing with their EV6, which is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.
