Jawa Motorcycles has launched an all-new bobber called the Jawa 42 Bobber. The Mystic Copper shade costs Rs. 2,06,500, the Moonstone White shade costs Rs. 1,000 more, and the two-tone Japer Red shade costs Rs. 2,09,187. (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Jawa 42 Bobber is currently the most affordable bobber for sale in India.
The Mystic Copper color scheme is around Rs. 2,700 cheaper than the Jawa Perak. While it has no direct competitors due to its unique segment, it competes with Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda H’ness CB350, Yezdi Roadster, and many more in terms of pricing. It has a few styling changes when compared to the Perak.
Jawa 42 Bobber Design
The second bobber in Jawa’s local range, in particular, has a restyled front end with a new headlamp unit, while the new fuel tank has an aggressive stance with rubber pads and recesses to tuck your knee in. The paint schemes are appealing, as the trio gives the 42 Bobber a more modern vibe than the Perak.

Other highlights include a new single-piece seat, which is characteristic of any bobber with an exposed rear fender, an LCD instrument cluster with silver surrounds, new switchgear on the taller handlebar, an LED lighting system, bar end mirrors, a side-mounted exhaust system, and so on. In terms of performance, it has the same 334 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected liquid-cooled engine as the Perak.
Jawa 42 Bobber Engine
The powertrain produces 30.6 PS of maximum power and 32.7 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a six-speed transmission. It shares many features with the Perak, such as telescopic front forks, monoshock rear suspension, front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, and differently positioned footpegs.
The Jawa 42 Bobber could set itself apart from the Perak by introducing revised ergonomics, a more modern design, and a new seat with two-step horizontal adjustability, while the powertrain is already performance-oriented. The pricing appears appealing, and it will be interesting to see how it compares to similarly priced 350 cc motorcycles.
