11000 Units Of Maruti Grand Vitara Recalled Due To Defects – Report

Maruti Suzuki has issued yet another recall for the Grand Vitara SUV, the third in less than two months. The most recent recall is claimed to have affected 11,177 devices manufactured between August 8 and November 15, 2022.

According to Maruti, a fault in the rear seat-belt mounting brackets is suspected, which may loosen in the long run and affect its performance. Owners of recalled vehicles will get information from authorised dealer workshops regarding inspection and replacement of defective items, which will be performed at no cost.

The Maruti Grand Vitara was one of six models recalled earlier this month owing to a suspected fault in the airbag controller unit, impacting roughly 17,000 units. A recall for the mid-size SUV was announced in December owing to a fault in one of the kid sections of the shoulder height adjustment assembly of front-row seat belts.
