Mahindra XUV700 Collides With Bus Crash Caught On Camera – Details

In the Indian vehicle market, the Mahindra XUV700 is having a fantastic run. Even after over 1.5 years in India, Mahindra’s flagship seven-seater SUV continues to sell in record numbers each month. One of the main reasons for its success is the high quality of its construction, which has been demonstrated in several incidents involving it. Another recent accident involving the Mahindra XUV700 occurred when a public bus rear-ended the vehicle without causing significant damage to its rear-end.

We can witness a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) rear-ending a Mahindra XUV700 in one of Prateek Singh’s YouTube videos, with the entire collision captured live in its rear camera. The bus collided with the XUV700 in the video when the latter applied brakes while moving in front of the bus in the centre of the road.

The footage clearly shows that the Mahindra XUV700 driver did not hit the brakes hastily. However, it appears that the bus driver was going too rapidly and, as a result of a loss of control, crashed with the back left side of the XUV700. The left-side tail lamp of the XUV700 also shattered and fell on the road as a result of the force of the accident, as shown in the video.

There are no serious damages in the XUV700.

Surprisingly, no further serious damage is visible in the back of this Mahindra XUV700, except for a few scrapes on the tailgate and rear bumper. It’s difficult to imagine that the XUV700 suffered no severe damage to its rear profile despite the size of the vehicles crashing with it from behind.

Accidents like these, in which the Mahindra XUV700 is seen without serious damage, demonstrate how safe and sturdy its construction is. People hypothesised a lot before learning that the XUV700’s tailgate is made of plastic. However, in numerous incidents, such as the one described by Prateek Singh, we can observe how this plastic tailgate is sturdy and capable of absorbing such significant hits.

The XUV700 has a five-star safety rating.

The Mahindra XUV700 is one of the safest SUVs on the market in India. The XUV700 has already received a great 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash testing, demonstrating Mahindra’s skill and dedication to producing safe vehicles. The XUV700 is now available in India with two powertrain options: 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.2-litre diesel, both with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions.

The XUV700 is not the first Mahindra car to receive a 5-star certification; previously, the XUV300 received the same honour. Furthermore, a few of other Mahindras, such as the Marazzo and Thar, have demonstrated their expertise in build quality and safety by receiving 4-star ratings in crash testing.
