Range Rover Prices Dropped By Up To Rs. 56 Lakhs

Tata Motors’ premium brand, Jaguar Land Rover, has announced that its flagship vehicles, the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, will be assembled locally in India. This marks the first time that these models will be produced outside of Solihull, UK. This decision has resulted in a substantial price reduction of up to Rs. 56 lakh for Range Rover SUVs. Also, the waiting time for these models will be greatly reduced.

Range Rover Variants

The Range Rover will be available in two variants: Autobiography with a 3.0-litre petrol engine and HSE with a 3.0-litre diesel engine. It will be manufactured locally. These powertrains can generate 394bhp and 550Nm of torque, and 346bhp and 700Nm of torque, respectively. The Range Rover Sport, on the other hand, will be available in the Dynamic SE trim level with both petrol and diesel powertrain choices.

Meanwhile, deliveries of the Range Rover have already begun. Customers who want to book the Range Rover Sport will have to wait until August 16, 2024, for deliveries to begin.

Range Rover New Prices

The Range Rover currently starts at Rs. 2.36 crore, the Range Rover Sport at Rs. 1.40 crore, the Range Rover Velar at Rs. 87.90 lakh, and the Range Rover Evoque at Rs. 67.90 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).

Speaking at the event, Lennard Hoornik, Chief Commercial Officer of JLR, stated, “Over the last several years, India has shown steady and remarkable economic growth, and it is expected to continue steadily in the near future as well. This expansion has created several chances to localize product offerings for the sophisticated Indian market. Local manufacture of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport in India is the next crucial step in the brand’s consolidation as the most coveted modern luxury SUV family in the nation.”
