MY25 Triumph Speed 400 Launched: At Rs 2.40 Lakh

Triumph has introduced the revised Speed 400 motorbike to the Indian market. The update gives the motorcycle several improvements over its previous model in addition to new color choices. Priced at Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom), the most recent variant of the motorcycle is more than Rs 5,000 more expensive than the previous one.

The Speed 400’s exterior design has not altered, and its original body panels are still present. Nevertheless, Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red, and Phantom Black are the current color options available. The new seat, which is 10 mm thicker than the old one, is another modification. It still has ride-by-wire and switchable traction control. One modification, though, is that the motorcycle now comes with five-step adjustable brake and clutch levers.

Regarding components, the Speed 400 still has lightweight 17-inch wheels, a monoshock at the back, and 43 mm big-piston USD front forks with 140 mm of travel. The motorbike is equipped with four-piston radial front brakes, which have a 300 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc for stopping power. There is dual-channel ABS on the motorcycle as well. It now rides on larger tires, with a front tire measuring 110/80 and a rear tire measuring 150/70.

The 398 cc TR-Series engine is still available in the Speed 400. At 8,000 rpm, the motor produces 39.5 horsepower, and at 6,500 rpm, it reaches its maximum torque output of 37.5 Nm. A torque-assist clutch is included in the 6-speed gearbox that the engine is mated to.
